FOUNDER

RODRIGO GUTIERREZ

Corialent

12 years ago, Rodrigo decided that the Coca Colas of the world shouldn’t be the only ones who get to have all the fun in the advertising industry. He was sick of all the dull, corporate, navy blue and white B2B work out there. Business people are people too. Corialent specializes in B2B marketing that doesn’t suck. And they want to get the rest of the industry drinking that delicious KoolAid.

Manager Training

Manager Training is not an easy task. When you first start off as a manager, you are usually very excited about being a manager. It s an early morning, mid-winter day. The sun is shining just over the pond, and your fishing boat is waiting on the water's edge. You're about to catch the first fish of the day. You throw your reel into the water, and you begin your fishing trip...

This is the first time manager training program that you are going to have onboarding skills with your team. First and foremost, you need to be a good leader and teacher. Your employees will look up to and respect you. When they see you leading them in the proper way and teaching them in the proper manner, they will know that you mean business. It is imperative that you keep your employees informed about what s going on, and how important it is that they follow your lead.

In order to effectively instill new manager training program into your team members, you need to make sure that you teach them the value of a good leader. You want to teach them how to effectively communicate with their team members. You also want them to know that it is not only okay to be in charge, but that they must be able to identify problems as well as resolve them. There is also a need for your team members to recognize each other as leaders, and how they can help each other accomplish goals.

In addition to a good leadership training program, you also need to instill a good strategy in your new manager's handbook. You should have goals set forth for the organization that they must accomplish daily. If they are not achieving the goals you have set forth for them, there is nothing wrong with asking them for help. There are many benefits of having new hires that are knowledgeable, but still have a desire to learn new things and develop their own strategies.

When it comes to communicating effectively with your new managers, you must be willing to go outside of the workplace. This is not to say that you should hold all the meetings in-house. It is fine to hold some in-house meetings for weekly review, and to discuss major decisions that will affect your organization internally and externally. But, by involving your new managers in some of the activities outside of the workplace, you are going to show them that you are not just in this job to work there but to care for them and make them feel part of the organization. It is vital that they understand that you value them and their perspectives.

In the same way, you need to create an environment where all your employees feel like they can ask for guidance and input. One of the best ways of doing this is by holding weekly employee workshops that allow your team members to get out and participate in the work everyone else is doing. If there is a particular issue or topic that is of particular interest to any of your managers, this is a great way for them to get their foot in the door. They may be surprised to see how much involvement they actually have in their own job.

While employee engagement is crucial for your business as a whole, it is also vital if you are a small company. Often times, it takes a lot of time and effort to gain the respect and understanding of other teams if you are a larger organization. If you find that your first-time managers do not engage much with the other team members, you might consider taking a course on how to improve employee engagement. Your first-time manager training program can help you create a culture where all of your employees feel empowered and involved, which will translate directly into increased productivity.

As you can see, training for managers can range from providing classroom information on how to hold regular meetings that help everyone stay up to date, to providing online resources that provide tips and tricks for improving your first-time meeting and training process. In most cases, these tips focus more on making sure the first-time managers meet and interact with their employees in an open and friendly manner. These tips will help you ensure that your first-time manager meetings go off without a hitch. By providing the right information in the right format, you can create an atmosphere of success for your entire team.
